Who let the dogs out!

So
me stories just need to be told and this is one of them.
My loan officer, Anthony, called me just after one of his appointments today. He told he had just had a very unusual experience.
Anthony had just left an appointment. The house was in a rural setting. In order to get to the home, he had to travel down a long road, close to half mile. When he arrived he was greeted by barking dogs. There was no sign of the homeowner, so Anthony exited his vehicle, only to be greeted by several dogs. They were barking ferociously at him. Soon they began to approach him. Anthony, being a pretty savvy loan officer, began a slight maneuver around his car. The dogs began to follow him. Soon they began nipping at his heels. Thank goodness Anthony began running around the car to avoid being bitten. Next, he quickly jumped onto the hood of car. The dogs still barking wildly.
The commotion continued and the homeowner, a lady, came outside to find Anthony perched on all fours on the hood of his car. He was still grasping his loan application and paperwork. The homeowner finally was able to get the dogs inside her home. The dogs were very unhappy and continued to mall the door and drapes inside. Anthony said the sounds from the dogs appeared as if they were shredding someone from limb to limb.
Unable to control the dogs, the borrower asked if was OK to take the application in his car. Reluctantly, Anthony agreed. Next, he proceeded to take the application in the back seat of his car, with the dogs still raising the roof inside the house.
Now Anthony is not your typical loan officer. He is dedicated and never says never. Here is the best part of the story. First, he was able to proceed and take a complete application. Secondly, unknown to us, our senior client was soon about to go to foreclosure and losing her home was imminent. Wow!
Suppose Anthony had given up when he heard the dogs barking and nipping at his heels. He could have as easily gotten in his car and drove away! But no, he persevered. He hung in there and in the end he was able to provide a needed financial service to our client. Double Wow!
Congratulations, Anthony!
